World Water Day@school 2024: Educational package

In the context of World Water Day@school on March 22, 2024, Goodplanet and Join For Water developed the educational project: 'Pip a tile and let it penetrate'

Get started with water research with your class. Examine the playground through blue-green glasses. Blue represents water; discover how rainwater behaves, where it lands and flows past. Green stands for plants and trees; a green playground offers cooling, healthier air and biodiversity. Together they form blue-green, because one cannot exist without the other.

Use the findings of the water study to draft a letter to the school board stating that you would like to make changes at the school. If the school management responds positively to the idea of water softening and you are motivated to actually implement it, you can organize a (mini) water softening campaign based on the practical tips in the sheet.
