International trade, barriers to trade: Audiovisual teaching materials
In this collection you will find video and audio clips about trade barriers, along with more context and concrete teaching tips.
Using concrete examples and audiovisual material, this collection first deals with the theme of trade barriers. Four arguments for this are illustrated: self-sufficiency, anti-dumping, employment and combating competition from low-wage countries.
Two trade barriers measures are then discussed: import duties and administrative regulations.
Trade barriers are also being phased out: free trade zones, the Benelux as a customs union, an economic union and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
