Kunnen luisteren wordt beschouwd als een belangrijke muzische en sociale vaardigheid. Maar luisteren is meer dan gehoorzamen alleen. Door goed te luisteren, ontdekken we nieuwe dingen, stellen we onze blik scherp, schaven we ons denkkader bij. Toch blijkt luisteren vaak niet zo eenvoudig. Onze oren worden immers overspoeld met voorgesneden koek.

- Stijn Dickel van de Gentse kunsteducatieve organisatie aifoon. Stijn zet sinds 2003 vormingen, projecten en producties op rond de beleving van geluid en stilte.
- Rebecca Diependaele, algemeen coördinator van MATRIX [Centrum voor Nieuwe Muziek]. Doorheen tal van activiteiten wil MATRIX kinderen, jongeren en volwassenen laten kennismaken met de muziek die vandaag gecomponeerd wordt en aanzetten tot een avontuurlijke omgang met muziek in het algemeen.
